MEDC and RAMMAC Show Appreciation to Sponsors
McAllen- The McAllen Economic Development Corporation in conjunction with the Reynosa Maquila Association (RAMMAC) celebrated their 24th Annual Spring Picnic in appreciation of all of the Greater McAllen Manufactures as well as the Maquiladora industry in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The remarkable growth in both Reynosa and McAllen brings with it new companies along with the relocation of their top management and respective families to our area. This picnic is an opportunity for the families of the managers and key personnel of manufacturing companies, community leaders, government officials, and the McAllen Foreign Trade Zone tenants to meet each other and enjoy the beautiful McAllen, Texas weather along with great food, games and door prizes.
The picnic was held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at The Zone Action Park. This year was yet another success with over 1,800 attendees. The picnic is entirely funded through both monetary donations as well as door prize donations from companies in the neighboring communities of McAllen and Reynosa. This would not have been a success without the help of our sponsors whom we would like to thank.
